M4 Project

Note to Yahoo! users

Yahoo! defers mail from my domain. When the mail finally arrives it seems to end up in bulk folder of Yahoo! customers. This means a) that mail arrives late and b) you might not see it if you just clear the bulk folder. Yahoo! does not react to complaints.

Mail delivery to most other domains works perfectly.

Attention: Mailing lists are semi-moderated

To combat Spam, the mailing lists are semi-moderated. If you post from your subscription address, mails will go through unmoderated. If you post from another address, your mail will be sent to a human moderator for approval. Due to the large Spam volume moderation is imperfect and your legitimate mail might be lost, so please post from your subscription address if at all possible.

M4 Project Mailing Lists:

The lists are handled by the ezmlm/idx mailing list manager. The following examples apply to the m4-breakers list. For the other lists, replace breakers with devel or announce.

Subscribe:

If you post from your account joe@example.com and you want to subscribe joe@example.com, just send an (empty) message to:

    m4-breakers-subscribe@bytereef.org

If you post from your account joe@example.com but you want to subscribe your second account joe.smith@example.com, send an (empty) message to:

    m4-breakers-subscribe-joe.smith=example.com@bytereef.org

Note that you have to replace the "@" in your address with "=".

Unsubscribe:

If you post from your account joe@example.com and you want to unsubscribe joe@example.com, just send an (empty) message to:

    m4-breakers-unsubscribe@bytereef.org

If you post from your account joe@example.com but you want to unsubscribe your second account joe.smith@example.com, send an (empty) message to:

    m4-breakers-unsubscribe-joe.smith=example.com@bytereef.org

Note that you have to replace the "@" in your address with "=".

Confirm:

Ezmlm will send you a confirmation request once you have issued a subscribe/unsubscribe command. You have to reply to that message for the command to take effect.
